witchy bar cart

When we moved into the new house, the bar cart was one of the first things I set up. It is one of my favorite places to put the special items in my life that remind me of past adventures and memories. I particularly love messing with it around the shift of seasons and I was so excited to make a witchy bar cart for spooky season this year.

Witchy wall decor

Love this print I found on Etsy so much and feel like it really emulates how getting handed a really delicious and beautiful cocktail across a bar can feel. So pretty! So full of promise!

Ceramic candle holder

orange and nude candlesticks, image of palm hand

I am obsessed with these! When we were in New York for my sister’s wedding my husband and I took a little day trop down to Hudson to explore. These caught our eye when we wandered into Flowerkraut, a gorgeous florist, studio, plant and gift shop. I love how the colors are inverted, and while with black candles they are perfect for Halloween. a neutral candle will tone these babies right down for everyday use. These candleholders are from Tina Vaia, an artist in Spain. They aren’t available online at Flowerkraut anymore but they are available in other colors at Tina Vaia’s website and Trouva. Flowerkraut also had an amazing selection of tapered candles - I love how these melted so interestingly. How do you like your candles to burn? Do you tend to light them or leave them unlit?

Pumpkin pitcher

I found these like some October miracle. I was having beers with friends downtown last weekend and remembered that a favorite spot of ours, Authentik, was having a sidewalk sale. Walked in and poof - the perfect pitcher for October! I can’t find any marks to identify it and I have no clue if it was meant to be a pumpkin but it is one now! I think it will be great for Friendsgiving too!

Palm Art

We found this palm art print in a night market in New Orleans. It was one of our last trips before the pandemic. We went at the end of the year in 2019 after Christmas with family. I also got one of my favorite necklaces from the mad bohemian that night! We keep this piece up year round, but it is especially fitting in October.

Library books

Not a bar cart without some library books! I’ve been sneaking a peek at these now and then but unfortunately have been too busy to really dig in. That New Orleans cocktails book is a bit of a hint at the cocktail coming up next week.

What is your favorite thing to decorate when the holidays come around? What do you think the New Orleans cocktail will be next week??
